Changed blankets, checked all settings, still getting a double image on top half of front and back pages. Bottom half prints fine.
Ray, is there any way you can upload a photo of the problem? I may not be a ton of help but if I can look at it I may be able to help. Thanks
Ray, My experience with double image is all in your iron settings from each modules and from deck to deck bearer pressures being as exact as possible. The looser your bearer pressures, the more of double images you will have. I would suggest you recheck this and tighten your bearer by 1 or 2 thousandth. Also use a proper blanket torque wrench.
I agree a picture would be helpful, also is this all four decks doing this and what is the color order that you print in from bottom to top? I'm confering with our opperators to try and help.
I uploaded a photo its just black doing it
bottom to top C,M,Y ,Black is on top
An overpacked blanket is the most common cause. If tail edge of packing is too long and folding into gap it could be causing the blanket to stretch and snap back, make sure packing is not too long and slightly tapered with razor. I agree something seems too tight. Hope this helps.
Page1 side, page 2, or both side?
If it is only on page 1 side, your plate to blanket is too tight. Lighten your page 1side iron setting by a thousandth. A snug .074 or a very loose .075. Recheck your bearer from module 3 to 4.
Correction. A snug .076 or a very loose .075.
.074 is wrong.
Problem appears to be solved. Black unit blanket was overpacked by .001. Thanks for all the assistance from everyone. Also, thanks to Jim in California for the phone call!!!
